New Berry Fruits 200g

I'm training for a marathon, and these make the perfect energy booster around the 18 mile mark. Easier to chew than Jelly Babies, and taste a lot nicer than energy gels!

I remember having these sweets from my childhood, when my mother loved them too. I was so pleased to find that they were still producing them. Especially as a dear friend was asking about them and I was able to send for them (Treasure Island Sweets) in time for her birthday.They arrived promptly and in good condition.

Used to have these at Christmas as a child. Still taste as good.

Sadly I found the tastes not at all the same as the old new berry fruits and I ate far too many boxes until they stopped being made, so my tastebuds have good recall! When I contacted Treasure Island Sweets they refunded me with no hassle--definitely a company I'd do business with again!

This iconic British product has threatened to disappear at least twice in the past and there was a time when New Berry Fruits could not be obtained for love nor money. They are apparently very expensive and labour intensive to manufacture and also have a limited shelf life so the bean counters at Meltis have attempted to withdraw the product as uneconomic. But much to my relief it still seems to pop up again in time for Xmas - so far, at least. Other jelly sweets - with the possible exception of Meltis Jewels - pale by comparison despite a superficial resemblance, so I always lay in a stockpile of these undervalued treasures.

We all look forward to receiving the Newberry fruits, it means Christmas is nearly here!! The jellies haven't changed, still the really fruity jelly with the syrupy centre, make sure you don't dribble down your chin! We have four generations now enjoying them!!
