Berwick Cockles - a soft and crumbly peppermint that melts in your mouth. These red and white striped oval sweets are traditionally made in Scotland and were given the name Cockles as their shape resembles that of a cockle. Made with brown sugar to give it a distinctive tang.

These look hard, but crumble and fall apart the moment you start chewing. The mint taste isn't super pronounced.

Not so much a review a a comment that these mints were first produced in that English town of Berwick upon Tweed (in Bridge Street). Cockles are prettier than the mint crumble things sold in Marks and Sparks and will come straight to your door
