Pomegranate Gourmet Turkish Delight - made for us by Sebahat who know a thing or two about making Pomegranate Turkish delight. They also make our dark chocolate covered rose and extra pistachio flavours as well. The pomegranate flavour is no exception and a refreshing change to the original rose and lemon variety. Treat yourself or someone else this year to the genuine article or why not even indulge in one of our wicker hampers full of Turkish delight.

The 250g gift box option comes in a biodegradable and compostable gift box made from real cocoa shell.
The bulk 1Kg option is supplied in a food grade clear bag and is not gift boxed.

Ohohoho, now THESE are something special!

As a big fan of Turkish delight I knew I had to get these as the 'main' extra-special gift for the recipient, who although may not love it as much as I do, I knew he'd really enjoy it and would jump at the chance to try a pomegranate-flavoured kind.

These earn the word 'gourmet' in their title, something which I feel is often overused and misused to try and hype up a-bit-better-than-average food/treats.
Everything about them is delightful, and as they're vegan (like the original/traditional lokum /Turkish delight) they have that delectable bite to them that you just don't get with the more jelly-cube like ones that use gelatine.
It also means that the more subtle scents and flavours come through far better, that beautiful heady aroma that takes you to a different place even before you've taken the first bite.
The recipient kept offering them to me as he was worried about scoffing them all too quickly ;'D
Overall, it's as wonderful as it sounds. They come in a beautiful box which further set them apart as something extra-special in the Christmas gifts.
Price-wise, yes it stands out as higher when you're shopping for general sweets, and because of that I knew they would have to be a 'special buy', but having seen what it gets you, the value is outstanding if anything. They're among some of the loveliest treats we've ever tried, and you're getting a quarter of a pound for just under £3.00. In a nice gift box. Each cube is substantial and you really feel the weight of them when you hold the box.
With all that in mind, and at first thinking I'd get them as a one-off to try, I'm likely to get them again for another special occasion. I notice there are some sour cherry ones which the recipient would also love, so I'm quite excited about that.
I'm waffling on now because I'm thinking about how pleased I am with this gift so I'll cut it off with this: Do it. You owe it to yourself or the recipient to try these. It likely won't be the last time if you do
